Where To Throw an Art-Themed Kids' Party in Toronto

Do you have one of those kids who just can’t stop drawing? Does she get super excited about sculpting a figurine out of clay? Does he live for painting abstracts on big canvases? Paintlounge

If your child has always wanted to paint on a stretched canvas like a real artist, Paintlounge just might be the place for your next party. Kids aged 5 to 7 can have a 1.5-hour painting party, while kids aged 8 and up get two hours at the venue to celebrate and create their masterpieces.

Kreative Kidz Art Bus

If you don't want to have to go to an outside venue for your art party, the Kreative Kidz Art Bus will come to you! This mobile art party has activities suitable for all ages—from finger paints for the very young ones, to the creation of raw wooden sculptures, picture frames, puppets or tie-dyed T-shirts for the older crowd. The bus can accommodate 14 kids at once, and packages include 1½ hours of art time on the bus.

Specific party options may vary by location, but they offer artist-themed art parties (like the Monet party or the O'Keeffe party), parties where cool little sculptures are created (like the Dragon party or Star Force party) and the crowd-pleasing Paint Splatter party, where Jackson Pollock wannabes get to go wild and create their own kinetic masterpieces.

Avenue Road Arts School

Led by professional artists and qualified art instructors, the visual art parties at Avenue Road Arts School let your child choose from a variety of fun theme-based art projects to work on while they celebrate with their friends. Projects include 3D landscapes, banners/flags, masks, decorated mirrors, Picasso portraits, rainsticks and more.

Fresh Paint Studio

At Fresh Paint Studio, the parties are all about getting creative and having fun with paint. The venue offers a variety of painting party packages to choose from: glass painting, sand and stone art, T-shirt art and more. And for your very, very young birthday child, they even offer in-studio or off-site painting parties for babies, using natural veggie or fruit-based paint to let the babies have some messy and creative birthday fun.

The Clay Room

For the child who's into sculpture and pottery, The Clay Room could be your next ideal party destination. For younger kids, you might want choose the Paint Your Own Ceramic Party, where the kids get to paint mugs, boxes, bowls, tiles or figurines; and for kids aged 7 and up, there's the option to do the full-on Clay Party, where kids create their own masterpieces out of clay and then get to paint them too.

All items get fired in the Clay Room's on-site professional kilns and will be individually gift-wrapped and ready for pick-up approximately 1½ weeks after the party.

Mess for Fun

Mess for Fun has jungle-theme pottery painting parties, "uptown" pottery painting parties, splatter paint parties, cupcake decorating parties, tie-dye parties—and it even offers the unique option of combining an indoor playground party with an art party, since the venue features a fun indoor playground alongside its ceramic studio, splatter paint room and portrait studio.

Wanda’s Creative Clay

The two-hour parties at Wanda's consist of one hour of creating a cute figurine with clay (everyone does the same project, chosen by the birthday child), followed by an hour to celebrate the birthday child with food and cake. During that second hour, the clay projects are baked in a regular oven, and the projects are all ready for each child to take home at the end of the party!

Wanda’s offers the option to have your party on-site at their venue, or they can come to you and run the party out of your own home.
